Examine the Verse
Acts 17:31
This verse is claimed to provide the basis of the Iglesia ni Cristo belief that
as the Son of God, "Jesus is Man" in nature and state of being.

God has set a day that he will judge all the world with fairness, by the man he chose long ago. And God has proved this to everyone by raising that man from the dead!
(Acts 17;31, New Century Version)

”He has set a day when he will judge the world's people with fairness. And he has chosen the Man Jesus to do the judging for him. God has given proof of this to all of us by raising Jesus from death.
(Acts 17;31,  Contemporary English Version)

Iglesia ni Cristo belief in God and Jesus Christ:
Iglesia ni Cristo believes in the absolute oneness of God, that "the Only True God is the Father" in heaven; The Father is the Lord God Almighty, the Creator of all things. God is Spirit, eternal, immortal and invisible; He is the God and Father of Jesus Christ and His Apostles; and that of Moses,
Abraham and the ancient Israelites.
Iglesia ni Cristo believes that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. As the Son of God,
Jesus is a Man.  However, Jesus is not an ordinary man but a "very special Man",
who was sanctified; made Lord, Christ, Savior, Mediator and Judge by God.

Apostle's admonition, warning and unique way of teaching:
1. No prophecy of scripture is a matter of personal interpretation. (II Pt. 1:20, NAB)
2. Do not go beyond  what is written. (I Cor. 4:6, NIV)
 3. We do not use words of human wisdom. We speak words given to us by the Spirit,
using the Spirit's words to explain spiritual truths. (1 Cor. 2:13, NLT)

  Points to Consider:
  1.  In the above verse, Apostle Paul was speaking before the meeting of the Areopagus, a council or group of important leaders in Athens, Greece. They were like judges.
2.  The above verse Apostle clearly said that "God will judge the world with fairness, by the Man he chose long ago"  Thus, God has proved this to everyone by raising that Man from the dead"   THEREFORE, according to Apostle Paul, Jesus is a Man.
3.  Please take note very carefully, that
the Man Jesus was chosen by God to judge the world for Him, so Jesus will come as a Man, not God. The fact that Jesus was raised from the dead by God is proof enough that Jesus is a Mannot God. For God is immortal, not subject to death (1 Timothy 1:17).

because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead. (New King James Version)

Because He has fixed a day when He will judge the world righteously (justly) by a Man Whom He has destined and appointed for that task, and He has made this credible and given conviction and assurance and evidence to everyone by raising Him from the dead. (Amplified Bible)

For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”    (New International Version)

”He has set a day when he will judge the world's people with fairness. And he has chosen the Man Jesus to do the judging for him. God has given proof of this to all of us by raising Jesus from death. (Contemporary English Version)
