Examine the Verse
Colossians 2:9
This verse is cited as implying support to the Trinitarian belief that Jesus Christ is God the eternal second person God the Son who took on a human body and nature and became
both man and God.
Thus, Jesus Christ is fully man and fully God simultaneously.

  For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;
(Colossians 2:9, New King James Version)

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,
(Colossians 2:9, New International Version)

Trinitarian Belief in God and Jesus Christ:
Trinitarians believe in the Trinity, that God is the "Triune God"
existing as three persons
God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, but one being. All three are
eternal with no beginning. M
embers of the Trinity are co-equal and co-eternal,
one in essence, nature, power, action, and will.
Trinitarians believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal second person "God the Son",
who took on a human body and nature and became both man and God.
Thus is Jesus is fully man and fully God simultaneously.

Apostle's admonition, warning and unique way of teaching:
1. No prophecy of scripture is a matter of personal interpretation. (II Pt. 1:20, NAB)
2. Do not go beyond  what is written. (I Cor. 4:6, NIV)
 3. We do not use words of human wisdom. We speak words given to us by the Spirit,
using the Spirit's words to explain spiritual truths. (1 Cor. 2:13, NLT)

  Points to Consider:
  1.  Notice that the verse does not say that Jesus is God.
2.  How can the above verse be interpreted to mean that "Jesus is God" when it just say "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form"? Is that not going beyond what is written in the verse?  The fact that the Deity lives or dwells in Christ bodily is proof that Jesus in not God. Why? Because if Jesus is the true God, then, there is no need for the Deity to live in Him, since He is Himself the Deity.
3.  How, then, can Jesus be God, when in the succeeding verse Hebrews 2:12 it clearly says that it is ". . . God, who raised Jesus from the dead". (1st) The very fact that Jesus died is proof that Jesus is a Mannot God, because God is immortal (1Tim. 1:17). And (2nd), the very fact that it was who God raised Jesus from the dead is proof enough that Jesus is not God Himself.
